COVID-19 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SHOWS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 20, 2021
ALL guests will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least two weeks after final dose).
  • Acceptable proof of vaccination is the original vaccination card, or a digital vaccination record with an appropriate ID matching the name on vaccination documentation.
    Digital Proof of Vaccinations:
    • PREFERRED: CLEAR app (CLEAR – Fast, Touchless Access – Create a Health Pass – (it’s FREE and includes your photo and vaccine record)
    • California residents may request a digital vaccination record at Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record (government-issued photo ID will be required).
Unvaccinated guests under the age of 12 will be required to present proof of a negative COVID-19 diagnostic test (PCR or antigen test) within three (3) days of the event start time before entering the venue.
  • Acceptable proof of a negative Covid-19 test result must be in the form of written documentation (paper or electronic copy). The documentation must include:
    • Type of test (a PCR or antigen test only)
    • The entity issuing the result (e.g. laboratory, healthcare entity, or telehealth service)
    • Specimen collection date. A negative test result must show the specimen was collected within the three (3) days of the event start time.
    • Information that identifies the person (full name plus at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number)
    • Test Result
    • Over-the-counter tests will not be accepted as proof of negative results of COVID-19
ALL guests are required to wear a mask for the duration of the event except when actively eating or drinking.

Paramount Theatre Management and Board of Directors is taking every possible reasonable measure to promote a healthier and safer environment for our guests, staff, artists, and visitors.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. You assume all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from or relating in any way to the risk of contracting a communicable disease or illness — including, without limitation, exposure to COVID-19 or any other bacteria, virus, or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness, whether that exposure occurs before, during, or after the event, and regardless of how caused or contracted—and you hereby waive any and all claims and potential claims against Paramount Theatre of the Arts, Inc. and the City of Oakland and each of their employees, directors, officers, and agents relating to such risks, hazards, and dangers.

PLEASE NOTE:
To promote the safety of our guests and enhance speed of service, all ticket sales, merchandise, and food and beverage transactions at the Paramount Theatre will be cash-free. We accept debit and credit cards, including major contactless and mobile payment methods, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, ApplePay, and GooglePay.

No large bags are allowed inside the theatre. Only bags 4.5" x 6.5" or smaller will be permitted.

No outside food or drink is permitted into the Paramount Theatre. Snacks are available for purchase on a show by show basis. Full service bars are open for most performances. Only snacks and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) from the Paramount service bars are permitted in the seating area during the show, unless posted otherwise.

*As a result of state and local orders, the USCIS naturalization oath ceremonies scheduled at the Paramount Theatre have been cancelled. All applicants will be rescheduled for another oath ceremony in the future, and will receive by mail a notice from USCIS informing them of the date, time, and location of their new oath ceremony.
